Iris ensata, Garden of Dianne B.

Sat, Jun 12, 2021

As the pandemic continues to evolve, please observe these new procedures and help us ensure a safe, contactless, and seamless garden experience for all visitors as well as our generous garden hosts:

  • Pre-registration is REQUIRED for each garden. Pre-register for each on this website, except where specifically indicated otherwise. Children under 12 are free and do not need to be pre-registered if accompanied by pre-registered adult.
  • Capacity is limited. Sorry, no walk-ins allowed; no paper tickets or cash payments will be accepted on-site.
  • Masks are required, at the discretion of the garden owners, and social distancing is encouraged at all in-person events.

For more details about these changes for this season, see the 2021 Open Days Q&A.

  • Entwood Garden
    Entwood Garden

Entwood is a seven-acre, park-like walking garden developed over 25 years from a flat potato field into a series of garden rooms, expansive views, specimen plants and trees, and features intended to make it difficult for adults and children to stay inside by providing a sense of peace, wonder, and fun.

  • Marshouse - Garden of Edwina von Gal
Marshouse - Garden of Edwina von Gal

My garden is named Marshouse (pronounced Marsh House) because my house is literally in a salt marsh, on stilts. I love the marsh because I am not allowed to touch it…

In the gardens, there will be various fritillary, droopy and upright trillium, lots of that spring blueness particular to ipheion and all kinds of hyacinths, plus the shocking chartreuse of epimediums and at least a few precious Jack-in-the-pulpits from this extensive collection.

  • Previti/Gumpel Garden

This garden is a series of rooms. Numerous outdoor sculptures by the owners are scattered throughout.
