  The Hen & the Hive

  Celebrating 21 years of gardening at Hen and the Hive, we continue to blend open perennial beds, wildflower meadows, woodlands, and paths, while deer fencing only vegetables, berries, and a more formal flower garden.

  Perrin Garden

  A curved driveway, partially lined with bottlebrush buckeye and fragrant sumac, leads to a rise revealing an English-style country house bordered by an apple orchard to one side, a spring woodland garden on another side, and a grass meadow in the front.

  Rumford Hall

  Rumford Hall is a fifteen-acre property with mature plantings and monumental boulders in the foothills of the Appalachians.
