Hunterdon & Morris Counties, NJ Open Day
Sun, Jun 12, 2022
Please observe these new procedures and help us ensure a safe, contactless, and seamless garden experience for all visitors as well as our generous garden hosts:
- Pre-registration is REQUIRED for each garden. Pre-register for each on this website, except where specifically indicated otherwise. Children under 12 are free and do not need to be pre-registered if accompanied by pre-registered adult.
- Capacity is limited. Sorry, no walk-ins allowed; no paper tickets or cash payments will be accepted on-site.
- Masks are required, at the discretion of the garden owners, and social distancing is encouraged at all in-person events.
For more details about these changes for this season, see the Open Days Q&A.

- Moran Garden
Started in 1970 on three acres of open field surrounding the main house, it has evolved into surrounding perennial borders accented with garden nooks, shady paths, and a gated garden.
- The Garden at Federal Twist
When we moved into a mid-century house overlooking the woods, I immediately knew only a naturalistic garden would be appropriate to the place.
- Jardin de Buis
The gardens and landscape are part of an ongoing project begun in 1992 as a complete renovation and expansion of an eighteenth-century dairy farm on 35 acres.
- Antique Cabin Garden (The Garden of Dan Ruhland)
Established garden with extensive hardscape, specimen trees, and extensive plantings on a sloped site.
