West Wind Farm

Although the property, an old dairy farm, was acquired in 2000—it seemed such a great place to garden—it took many years for the gardens to evolve. A herd of Icelandic horses changed focus early on and landscaping for others took the time away. Recently, a pergola was added at the end of a cutting garden, as well as more dahlia beds. Lots of annuals interspersed with perennials and shrubs keep everything going in this generally short growing season at 2,000 feet. It is still very much a work in progress!
