Please join us for a discussion of the documentation of gardens and plant collections. In the morning session, Garden Conservancy Director of Preservation Pamela Governale and Chloe Kadel, who has been helping the Garden Conservancy document the Chase Garden in Orting, WA, will discuss the benefits of documentation, the archival process, and what to do with your collection once it is archived.
The afternoon session will include presentations by Nancy Kartes and Alex Wright, of the Bellevue Botanical Garden, and Ross Bayton, from Heronswood, who will discuss the goals and processes of their respective documentation programs. The presentation of these case studies will be followed by a panel discussion and Q & A session.
Following the workshop, there will be a guided tour of Lakewold Gardens.
