Ten acres of formal classical style and outer gardens surround Chauncey D. Stillman’s Georgian-style brick house. The original garden around the perimeter of the house was created in 1940 by Bryan J. Lynch. Starting in 1952, Evelyn N. Poehler designed and maintained the formal garden and wilderness garden over a twenty year period. The formal Garden, blending with the natural landscape, features trimmed hedges, sculpture, water features and spectacular panoramic views.
