This tranquil recuperative sanctuary stands as a mini arboretum meticulously designed, maintained, and cherished by its proprietor—an undertaking spanning a quarter-century. This metamorphosis has seen the conversion of a cow pasture originally associated with the Nichols estate into ornamental gardens that grace the Cape-style domicile. The Stone Sphere, a central hallmark of this garden, was skillfully fashioned by the owner, drawing inspiration from the Knockan Crag Globe in Scotland. This emblem also lends its name to the proprietor's recent literary offering. The circular motif embodies the concepts of self-integrity, cohesion, and spirituality. This abstract artwork assumes the role of a therapeutic instrument, echoing the sentiments of John Ruskin, who opined that "fine art is that in which the hand, the head, and the heart of man go together." The gardens include a crab apple allée, New England stone walls, a farmer's pond, and a larger body of water. Taxus and boxwood hedgerows, meticulously groomed, partitioning the spaces in the various rooms, invite exploration. A European-style vegetable garden, a contemplative Zen berry garden, a water feature, teak benches, beckoning to rest or convene. A formal bluestone patio and deck with pergola offer optimal vantage points to survey the undulating landscape and aqueous expanse.

This garden's estimated size is 2 acres.
