This modest condominium garden exudes a sense of calm and order that is enlivened by color, pragmatic in the use of raised vegetable beds, and not so precious as to eschew a whimsical surprise. You are welcomed by artichoke-capped gateposts (a symbol of hope and prosperity) into a discreetly minimalist walled garden with a borrowed viewshed. Garden designer Joseph Marek has designed a formal series of five small "rooms," defined by hardscape and plant material, that provide a sense of discovery as one progresses through them.
