About

Set on a typical suburban lot, this garden is a collection of native, xeric, rock garden perennials, and unusual trees and shrubs. The front yard is largely xeric.

The back is a mix of rock gardens, alpines, troughs, natives, various trees, and shrubs chosen for yearlong interest. There is a small propagation area as well.

This garden’s estimated size is 1/4 acre.

This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: The yard is flat but there are some stepping stones and changes of surface areas: concrete to grass, crushed rock to pavers. There are no steps in the garden itself but there are 1-2 steps to access patio areas.
