About
A thousand foot unpaved driveway through the woods leads to my passive solar home and gardens in a clearing that was once farmland.
The front yard consists of ornamental grasses, shrubs, perennials and annuals deemed not especially tasty by area wildlife. The back yard, protected by 700 feet of fencing hidden among the trees, includes a butterfly garden, woodland gardens, herb bed, a “tropical” foliage circle and multiple paths throughout.
Stone walls built from the remains of the original stone walls on the property enclose the area.
This garden's estimated size is 0.5 acre.
