The Sunny Bug Farmette
Denver, CO
About
My half-acre garden has evolved over the past 12 years after I became a master gardener. I have been growing vegetables in 3 large, raised beds and donating 95 percent to local food pantries. I seeded a wildflower meadow years ago that also doubles as an orchard, with apple, pear, peach, and plums. On this unique property with our log home, I have slowly introduced more and more native plants into many of my perennial beds. This year I installed two crevice gardens with about 60 native and regional adapted plants. I plant for people, pollinators, beauty, and the environment.
This garden’s estimated size is 1/2 acre.
