About

The Rivermere estate overlooks the Hudson River at its widest point and has its own microclimate. The garden offers several vantage points for peaceful reflection and meditation with serene river views: the water garden, the gazebo overlooking the stream-fed duck pond, and the lawn. A newly planted vineyard with cold hardy grapes is fed by natural water from the pond. A pergola made of natural materials provides a setting for farm-to-table eating in the vineyard. The waterfall garden contains native plants, tropical plants, ayurvedic herbs, and vegetables with medicinal properties. A small experimental rooftop garden for greens sits atop the peacock house. Flowering trees, daffodils, and seasonal plantings round out the collection.

This garden’s estimated size is 2 acres.
