Japanese House in New Hampshire Garden
Dublin, NH
About
My Japanese garden project began after I had worked for over 15 years to build a small traditional Japanese house on our property in Dublin. The garden and pond were added so that visitors could experience that same quiet feeling outside the house as they did inside.
I do not consider myself a gardener as much as a student of Japanese history and design. I have tried to create an
environment that captures the true feeling of Japan with as much respect as possible. The garden was also designed to be as low maintenance as possible, while still conveying an authentic feel.
This garden's estimated size is 3/4 acre.
This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: Visitors will have to walk about 100 yards in total. The terrain is level but there are stepping stones and a bridge which require care in walking, with some uneven surfaces. The Japanese house is not ADA compliant.
