About

Hollengold Farm is located in the Rondout Valley, nestled between the Shawangunk and Catskill Mountains in the small hamlet of Accord, NY. Hollengold Farm was started in the spring of 2009 by a family originally from New York City. Since then, we continue to grow our gardens and watch as our perennials take root.

We have fruit and nut trees and bushes as well as wildflower gardens. We have an unusual Nature Swimming Pool that has plants growing to keep the water clean without use of chemicals. It combines the best of a pond and a swimming pool.

Along with our gardens, often wild, there is a component of Botanical Art and Education related to plants and their uses. Wendy has a new large format art book out this spring from Abbeville Press called: The Album of Plant Families, An Illustrated Exploration of the Beauty and Bounty of Nature. This book and Wendy will be available to discuss the advantages of learning to identify Plant Families to help deepen your knowledge of plants.

This garden's estimated size is 4 acres.

This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: The property spans to sides of a private drive. People will park by the large outdoor pavilion and walk across the private drive to enter the main garden. It is easy walking but sometimes the ground can be uneven so good walking shoes are helpful. The Barn which includes the artist's gallery, shop and studio and commercial kitchen for creating value added farm products will be open.
