About
This nearly 3-acre garden is a combination of three formal perennial rooms that are behind a stone wall and surrounded entirely by 30-foot ‘Green Giant’ arborvitae. Each room has a unique personality and flows easily to the next, ending in a sculpted hornbeam allée.
There are white perennial gardens throughout the pool area. The highly fragrant roses bloom all summer. A newly added Zen garden features miniature perennial trees and unique plantings.
There are numerous key viewing locations throughout the property. One of the key features of the garden is an apple and pear espalier orchard behind the pool house. The property is tiered and has beautiful perennial flowers and trees on all levels, with more than 70 multicolored and varietal peonies and more than 100 hydrangeas in varying colors and provenance.
