About
With gardening roots firmly based on the East Coast, Boston and Cape Cod, gardening in the Coachella Valley has presented an extremely steep learning curve for us.
Except for two established, mature olive trees, the garden’s beds presented a blank canvas. We have owned the house for two years and there has been great success and some dismal failures in selecting plant materials.
One big surprise is when watered, how quickly cacti grow. They are not the static element we thought they were going to be. This has led to the garden beds being much more dynamic than planned.
This garden’s estimated size is 2,500 sq. ft.
This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: The garden is easily navigated with only one level change to the pool area that is accessed by three steps.
