Flourish Farm of Silvermine

Wilton, CT

The Garden Conservancy Preservation Partner Garden

About

Located in the hamlet of Silvermine, Flourish Farm is an outdoor curated collection of plants. Twenty-six years ago this 1850s inn / farmhouse on three acres was saved from demolition, and slowly the structure and landscape were reclaimed.

Invasive species were eradicated and an acre of hardwoods were thinned, creating a small grove of sugar maple. A vegetable garden including an asparagus patch, small orchards, and chicken coop supported the growing family that was raised here.

The three acres includes a woodland, spring ephemerals, and an array of specimen conifers, a dahlia garden, an expansive of perennials, and a pool.

The garden has been exclusively organically maintained and has been maintained to support local wildlife.

This garden's estimated size is 3 acres.
