Fiona's Secret Garden

Manchester, NH

The Garden Conservancy Preservation Partner Garden

About

A garden is a living, ever evolving space—shaped by both the needs of the plants and the dreams of the gardener. I like to think of mine as an English Cottage Garden, with its informal mix of perennials, shrubs and trees.

While I may be known for my 300+/- daylily hybrids (including some I’ve hybridized myself!), the garden is also home to many other treasures such as roses, hostas, hydrangeas, and garden art, which gives it a touch of both elegance and whimsy. What began as a private oasis tucked away in the backyard has slowly crept forward— spilling into the front yard end even out onto the curb.

This garden's estimated size is .2 acres.

This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: There is a flagstone path in the backyard, and the lawn is slightly uneven in places.
