Dinsmore Garden

Olivebridge, NY

The Garden Conservancy Preservation Partner Garden

About

The garden is best described as having a formal structure with hedges, paths, an arbor, and even trees laid out in a

symmetrical and geometric design, which is softened by loose, exuberant plantings.

There are four main perennial gardens, each with its own design and color scheme. There is also a long shrubbery, which ends with a stone Chinese pagoda, a lattice work “temple,” pyramids, an arch, terraces, and a dry stone creek. Recent additions include a Buddha garden, a Japanese teahouse, and a rose garden. All in all, the gardens extend over six acres.
