Digging Deeper: Tour of Indigenous Plants and Land Management Practices
Boiceville, NY
About
This Digging Deeper is presented in partnership with The Friends of Brunel Park.
The Friends of Brunel Park, which stewards the Brunel Sculpture Garden, is a non-profit, volunteer-run, community-based education and cultural organization.
We are committed to celebrating, supporting, and preserving the tangible and intangible cultural assets and practices of the Native American people of our region; naturalistic gardens and native plants; and the photographic, literary, visual, and performing arts.
The trustees will highlight the plants in the collection that were of significance to the Esopus Munsee
people. Examples of sustainable land management and ecological restoration projects also will be featured.
This Digging Deeper Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: Please wear sturdy shoes; we will be walking through somewhat uneven terrain. Long pants are also recommended.
