As we walk through our gardens and woodland to our house, our talk will focus on interrelated aspects of gardening and living while attempting to minimize environmental impacts and live happily with limits.
Topics include: Vegetable garden, herb garden, ornamentals, composting, water pumping and storage, small photovoltaic system, firewood preparation and use, composting toilet, household heating, cooking and hot water, food storage, coping with climate change and aging.
This Digging Deeper Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: The walk through the garden and to the house is on uneven paths and includes hills. The total distance to return to your car may be a half mile. Sturdy footwear recommended.
