David Orthwein Garden
Eolia, MO
About
A spectacular 30-year-old prairie fills a valley overlooked by the residence/ house on one hill, a guest house on the other and a beautiful stable at the top of the valley.
A mulch path meanders along the creek in the prairie valley and allows one to be immersed in the prairie.
The gardens around the house feature formal allées (that hide three large flower borders) leading to an elegant gazebo where one can enjoy the shade and view the house The pavilion is situated on a far hill and affords spectacular views of the Pike County landscape and the Mississippi River Valley.
