About

Our garden is on a hillside facing the western Catskills, with four ponds descending toward the mountain view. Around the house and large barn, part of a former dairy farm, are several formal garden spaces defined by native stone walls. They include a perennial border, a fountain terrace, and a vegetable garden. An allée of Japanese lilacs ascends the hillside, and informal plantings edge two of the ponds and a connecting stream. Visitors are welcome to bring a blanket and picnic on the lawn or hike the trails on the property.
