Casita Real
Palm Springs, CA
About
I have been gardening and room-making for my entire life. My first garden room was amidst the tall rhubarb plants in my grandmother’s formidable garden when I was 4, where my friends and I made mud pies and drank tea.
Ultimately I became an architect who later became a professional landscape designer. Architecture, for me, is a place to live surrounded by nature. The gardens at Casita Real are visible and accessible from every room of the house. They create the environment, and they reinforce and bring vitality to the structure that provides places to enjoy and share our multifaceted life—to be alone, gather with family and friends, appreciate nature, play, dine...LIVE.
This is what you will see at Casita Real. In a relatively small area, there are many different “venues,” and we use every single one—to share our now figurative mud pies and tea with loved ones while surrounded by our wonderful garden. Come, stay, and enjoy.
This garden’s estimated size is 1/4 acre.
This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: This garden has a few pavers that are separated by loose stones. There is a short length of gravel path.
