A Walk Through Our Garden Rooms

Boulder, CO

The Garden Conservancy Preservation Partner Garden

About

Our garden in East Boulder is a delightful mix of plants that define the many garden rooms we’ve installed over the years.

Enjoy the view of our inviting English garden in the front. From there, walk to the South Gate where, just inside, you will see the Chinese garden. Take in its simple beauty before walking to the next garden with its small, Monet-like green bridge and pond. Our shaded stone-terrace garden offers a respite from the sun before walking to the serene Japanese garden.

Next, step into the enchanted butterfly garden that leads down to our woodland garden. Enjoy the fragrance of our Country French Lavender garden. The vegetable garden fills our desire for fresh, home-grown food in its stone raised bed.

And finally, stop by our mountain stream garden and enjoy the soothing sounds of the cascading water. We defined each garden room with a diverse selection of plants, hardscapes, garden arts, stones, and in some rooms, a water feature and a sitting area. The gardens are planted to have interest throughout the year, and we enjoy the vibrant colors, fragrances and watching pollinators on the plants they love.

This garden’s estimated size is .2 acres

This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: You can enter the backyard using either the north gate (left side) or south gate (right side). If you use the south gate, you enter a Chinese garden that has a wooden bridge that is slightly steep. One can avoid using the bridge by walking on the flagstone.
