A Rocky Step Garden

Morrison, CO

The Garden Conservancy Preservation Partner Garden

About

Our rocky garden and landscaping are xeric, featuring a mix of cacti, agaves, yuccas, and other drought-tolerant plants with areas of native gamble oaks and plants endemic to the foothills.

Our dry land garden is home to a diverse array of wildlife, a small pond, red rock formations, and two very intrepid home gardeners. As transplanted gardeners from the East Coast, we are continually learning how to deal with this foothills environment from local plant societies, botanical gardens, and helpful gardeners.

This garden’s estimated size is 3/4 acre.

This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: There are steps in the garden and a path that is uphill.
