Saturday, July 19 Open Day at Gina's Garden 1PM-4PM

Ours is a small garden. We purchased the house 43 years ago that came surrounded on three sides by mature yew hedges and on the fourth by a golf course and a few flowering shrubs. The hedges gave us structure, and the golf course provided borrowed views and great summer sunsets. We stumbled at gardening until we found a hardscape designer for a bluestone patio and a “concept” for planting areas of the backyard garden. From there, we made the yard our garden of mostly crowded perennial beds and shrubs, adding more bluestone, boxwood hedge, a stone wall and a green driveway, all at the expense of the lawn. What we offer is our view of how to garden in a small lot by using height and great variety in color and texture in a casual style.
