WynEden is a bucolic, ten-acre reverie set between two hills covered with mature trees. The southern hillside, where the house sits, is covered with over 10,000 hostas cascading down in wide bands of three different colors. The middle of the property has a one-acre pond containing hundreds of water lilies and lotus. This pond is fed by a smaller, two-tiered feeder pond with an Asian-style garden. Here koi swim in the shade of a large thicket of bamboo. A small waterfall tumbles down from the upper tier to the main tier of this pond, which features a zigzag Asian footbridge. Behind the bamboo, a large bog garden featuring a granite Japanese lantern is surrounded by an extensive planting of Rhododendron.
This garden’s estimated size is 10 acres.
