Join award-winning landscape gardener Jorge Sánchez, principal partner of SMI Landscape Architecture, for an intimate tour of three of his exquisite garden creations in Palm Beach, Florida. SMI’s design philosophy incorporates a 'botanical garden' approach—utilizing unique and interesting plant combinations—with a classical European design elements to create gardens that are botanically rich, beautiful, and usable for the clients. Jorge and his design team are also known for their approach to preserving and restoring historic garden elements and landscapes. Sánchez will begin the day with a brief introduction to the design process at the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach, and then lead participants on a guided tour through three private gardens that exemplify the firm’s approach and philosophy. Shuttle transportation between gardens is included and lunch will be served at the final garden.
