Garden Masters: Kelton House Farm—Celebrating the American Colonial Spirit in House and Garden

Kelton House Farm
Sat, Jul 20, 2019
1:30 PM- 5:00 PM
Experience a singular vision in this exceptionally beautiful collector’s garden. While fresh in appeal, it gives form to the owner’s deep knowledge and infectious passion for seventeenth and early eighteenth-century American material culture, as well as his remarkable sense of design. All set within a working farmscape, the 1740 saltbox house (moved from New England) is surrounded by historically appropriate gardens the owner created using seventeenth-century books. He painstakingly assembled a collection of pre-1750 heirloom flowers, herbs, fruits, and vegetables, as well as antique garden ornament from England and New England. The gracious and attentive host will bring guests through the cutting, perennial, and vegetable gardens, and share a luxe English tea featuring bounty from the farm.
Space is limited and attendees must register in advance.
