The Gardens at 900

Sat, Aug 17, 2019
10:00 AM- 4:00 PM

Spend an intensive, behind-the-scenes day with the team from an exceptional garden design atelier. For almost four decades, Craig Bergmann Landscape Design has won critical acclaim for creating engaging, imaginative, regionally appropriate landscapes by establishing a clear dialogue between the living garden and built site. They intertwine sustainable design, horticulture, and architecture with an exacting attention to detail. Owner Craig Bergmann, Head Gardener Russ Buvala, and senior design and nursery staff will share insights and anecdotes to take you deep inside their aesthetic vision, site-specific design process, and the practical mechanics of how they grow, construct, and maintain their award-winning projects. To bring these concepts to life, the day will be spent exploring Craig’s home and office, and the gardens of nearby clients. The group will investigate why these places look the way they do and discuss how they only improve after initial installation.

This full immersion with a garden-centric staff is sure to inspire new and seasoned gardeners alike. Wear comfortable outdoor apparel as this program will be held rain or shine. Lunch will be served in the garden.
