The Brine Garden—Duncan & Julia Brine

Sat, Oct 13
12:00 PM- 6:00 PM

This naturalistic, six-acre garden connects diverse ecological areas on a former dairy farm. Many, ironically unfamiliar, mature native shrubs and trees combine with select non-native plants to form a series of garden rooms with views joined by meandering paths. Duncan Brine, who works with his wife and partner, Julia, at GardenLarge, is a landscape designer and instructor at the New York Botanical Garden. Anne Raver of The New York Times writes that the Brine Garden is a dreamlike landscape. The garden has been published in books and magazines, and featured in Hudson Valley garden books. See www.gardenlarge.com for more.
