Join Dan Hinkley, Director of Heronswood Garden, for a three-hour tutorial as well as a brisk walk around Heronswood Garden in winter, to learn the techniques of taking hardwood cuttings. Though recommended equipment will be discussed, the class will concentrate primarily on low tech/low cost approaches in creating more of your favorite conifer selections, deciduous shrubs as well as broadleaved evergreens.
Please bring your own hand pruners, a ten inch pot (two gallon pot) filled with perlite, and a two gallon Ziplock bag.
Optional brown bag lunch and guided tour of Heronswood afterwards.
Registration is required and space is limited.
