Join Dan Hinkley, plant explorer and director of Heronswood Garden, for a three-hour tutorial on techniques for taking hardwood cuttings, as well as for a brisk walk around Heronswood Garden in winter. Though recommended equipment will be discussed, the class will concentrate primarily on low-tech/low-cost approaches in creating more of your favorite conifer selections, deciduous shrubs, and broadleaved evergreens.
Please bring your own hand pruners, a ten inch pot (two gallon pot) filled with perlite, and a two gallon Ziplock bag.
Optional brown bag lunch and guided tour of Heronswood afterwards.
