Digging Deeper: Croquet and Cocktails: Preserving and Restoring Sporting Greens

Join us for Croquet and Cocktails on a Historic Sporting Green! "The Spalding Garden's formal bowling green was designed with leisure in mind. As preservationists, we hope to not only maintain the beauty and integrity of our historic garden, but also to utilize the garden for its original purpose: pleasure and entertaining among friends."

You are invited to step back in time for a leisurely afternoon of sport and conversation. Guests will be served tea, champagne and light bites and learn about the garden and its iconic designer, Fletcher Steele. Following a garden tour, guests are invited to join us for a rousing croquet match. White attire and hats are encouraged. Come to play; stay to make new friends.

Admittance to this garden’s Open Day on May 22 is included with a purchase of the corresponding Digging Deeper ticket.
