Join a passionate meadow gardener as he takes a small group through his spectacular four-and-one-half-acre Hudson Valley prairie. He will explain how he got hooked on weeds by his “dealer,” Neil Diboll, owner of Wisconsin’s Prairie Nursery, through gateway plants like purple coneflower, compass plant, and smooth aster, and how his addiction grew as he endeavored to turn a weed-infested hillside into the beautiful prairie you see today. He maintains that he still knows very little about the plants and the process, but the results tell quite a different story, perhaps what an enthusiastic novice really can achieve.
Registration is required and space is limited. This event is rain or shine.
