Sat, Oct 13
1:00 PM- 3:00 PM
Join owner Linda Allard as she leads an intimate group through Highmeadows during one of her favorite moments in her extraordinary garden, a peak fall afternoon. She will talk about the design ideas and choice plants that make the autumn here so spectacular, as well as some of the sustainable techniques used to keep her garden so healthy and lush. Fruit trees framing a golden meadow will be laden with their colorful bounty, the layered plantings in the woodland garden will be decked in jewel tones, the enclosed potager will be filled with winter crops, and sweeping vistas of the Litchfield Hills will form a blazing backdrop to the entire property. Wine and light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Registration is required and space is limited.
