  Over the years, this garden has developed into a landscape for strolling and leisurely observation, having accumulated a series of paths and trails that lead to and around various features.

  We wanted to create a garden that looked as if it had been planted when the house was built, in 1901.

  This garden is nestled in the woods at the end of a country lane. It takes advantage of a widely varied landscape to create a series of informal gardens that attempt to exploit the beauty of the natural setting.

  An allÈe of large maples and oak, bordered by meadows on either side, forms the entrance to the gardens which surround the house.
