My grandfather got me started in his vegetable garden when I was a boy, and while continuing that I have also become interested in flowers. I discovered organic gardening when I was in junior high in Ohio and I was considered to be somewhat weird then - not so today. I have been a studio furniture maker all my working life, and the garden makes a wonderful setting for my shop and showroom. I have made garden furniture from reclaimed redwood as well as some concrete planters and border walls. I try to have something always blooming, and there will be a lot in June including Phlox, Crocosmia, Campanula, Lychnis, Heuchera, and more. My file folder of plants is over two and a half inches thick and growing.
