Tranquility Garden

The brick entrance path, flanked by a border of colorful shrub roses, leads to the front door of this Georgian-style house. Visitors are welcomed with a lively mix of seasonal flowers spilling gracefully onto the path. The house is surrounded by an intimate garden planted by horticulturist Dean Rossman of Greene Street Gardens. Bordered by mature trees and plantings, the garden is part woodland consisting of conifers, rhododendrons, and deciduous plants. Informal flowering beds are off set by a patio, low walls and lawn. This welcoming garden with its diverse palette of plants has become a friendly habitat for birds and butterflies. The tranquil setting includes a vine-covered arbor swing offering a spot for repose and quiet contemplation.
