The Cummer Gardens, acknowledged by the National Register of Historic Places, have a fascinating history and bear the imprint of some of the foremost names in landscape design and horticulture, including Ossian Cole Simonds, Ellen Biddle Shipman, Thomas Meehan and Sons, and the fabled Olmsted firm. The Museum's two-and-one-half acres of historic gardens are unique examples of early twentieth-century garden design, featuring reflecting pools, fountains, arbors, antique ornaments, and sculptures. The majestic Cummer Oak has a canopy of more than 150 feet and is one of the oldest trees in Jacksonville.

Directions: Travelling north on I-95 South, take Exit 352A. Take ramp right for Forest Street toward Riverside Avenue. Turn left onto Forest Street. Turn right onto Route 211S/Riverside Avenue. Bear right onto Route 211/Riverside Avenue. Museum is on left.

Travelling south on I-95 North, take Exit 351A. Take ramp right and follow signs for Park Street. Turn left onto Park Street. Turn left onto Riverside Park Place.Turn right onto Riverside Avenue. Museum is on left.
Museum parking is available on Riverside Avenue (directly across from the Museum), with an additional lot on the corner of Riverside Avenue and Post Street.

Hours: Special Garden Conservancy Open Day Saturday, March 30, 2019, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (regular Saturday hours). Otherwise, Tuesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Closed Mondays and July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Years Eve & New Years Day.

Admission: $30 daypass available on March 30 which includes access to the museum’s historic gardens as well as the four Open Days private gardens. The Museum is free on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the first Saturday of every month. Otherwise $10 adults, $6 seniors (62+), military, and students (with ID). Children 5 and under free. College students with ID free Tuesday through Friday.
