Sanger House Gardens

Sanger House Gardens

Milwaukee, WI
Open Days, Water feature, Container gardens, Garden structures

This very personal landscape was developed over the last 25 years by the garden's owners, who call themselves "texture gardeners." The garden sits on 0.67 acre in a historic neighborhood and features more than 400 varieties of plants. Making use of every square inch of available space, the garden features stunning plantings on the hillsides surrounding two sides of the property. Extensive use of containers, water features, secluded pathways, and architectural "ruins" round out the garden experience.

Directions: The Sanger House Gardens are just two blocks north of Pleasant Street and easily reached by a short drive from the downtown exits of the 43 freeway.

See the Sanger House Gardens website for more information about additional events on July 13 & 14.
