Bill Noble on "Spirit of Place"

In his book Spirit of Place: The Making of a New England Garden (Timber Press, June 23, 2020), Bill Noble describes the pleasures and challenges—both aesthetic and practical—of creating a garden that feels deeply rooted to its place. Bill shared insights gained from the many gardens he has visited, worked with, and helped to preserve. Their diverse influences are reflected in his own garden in Norwich, VT.

Held live on Zoom on September 24, 2020, this program was the first of seven biweekly webinars in the Garden Conservancy's Fall 2020 Literary Series with some of the most distinguished garden writers of the year.
