All the things that we love most about gardens – their fragility, their changing appearance, their appeal to momentary sensations like fragrance and temperature – argue against preservation. How does one preserve an experience? Garden Conservancy President and CEO James Brayton Hall will discuss how, as an organization that seeks to save outstanding American gardens, the Garden Conservancy must look to non-traditional approaches to preserve this important part of American culture.

This illustrated talk will be followed by a Q & A session and light refreshments.
