Garden Conservancy Northwest Network
The Garden Conservancy Northwest Network (GCNN) promotes communication, networking, resource sharing and professional workshops for the enhancement of member gardens, furthering their common goals of preserving and opening exceptional gardens for public enjoyment and education. The GCNN was formerly known as the Garden Conservancy Northwest Forum.
The GCNN is open to advocates of garden preservation, representing public gardens, organizations and gardens in transition form private to nonprofit or public ownership in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia.
Benefits of GCNN Membership
- Twice yearly professional workshops to introduce participants to the fundamentals and successful examples of fundraising, board development, and other professional garden management topics.
- Tours of member gardens and the opportunity to learn from garden owners and managers.
- An opportunity to exchange ideas among garden preservation advocates from the Pacific Northwest; to meet and learn about what other gardens are doing that may be applicable to one’s own.
- Communications – keeping abreast of developments at gardens in the region and being aware of the resources available in the region through a listserve and planned newsletter.
- Resource sharing – creating opportunities for sharing training costs, consultants, databases, and the like.
