San Francisco Flower & Garden Show:
Brunch and an Insiders Walk of the 2011 Show

March 25, 2011: 8:45 am - 11:45 am
San Mateo Event Center: San Mateo, CA

Meet the Garden Conservancy at the 2011 San Francisco Flower & Garden Show for an early morning private tour and brunch at the San Mateo Event Center before the crowds arrive. Meet the new winners of the 2011 Garden Conservancy Award in person!

Join Garden Conservancy friends for a special behind-the-scenes tour with show manager Kay Estey and Garden Conservancy West Coast Council members Elizabeth Everdell and Antonia Breck, both Bay Area landscape designers. Then relax with friends, good garden talk, and a scrumptious brunch before returning to the show or to your busy day.

This year the Garden Show celebrates “Life in the California Garden” with garden-to-table cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, a farmer’s market, new plant introductions, and thoughtful, sustainable display gardens.

Following Kay’s tour, we will have brunch in the Derby room of the adjacent Jockey Club and hear a few words from the Show’s executive director Weston Cook. The recipient of the 2011 Garden Conservancy Design Award will join us at the brunch to tell us about their garden entry. You are welcome to stay and enjoy the rest of the show following our program. We look forward to seeing you.
