Front Yard Gardens Take Center Stage

October 25, 2013
The Gardens at Heather Farm: Walnut Creek, CA

SAVE THE DATE:

Gardeners wake up – you don’t have to limit yourself to the backyard! You can also have plenty of fun between the stoop and the street. One of the latest trends in gardening is creating exciting landscapes in the front yard. Not only will you enjoy the view, but so will your neighbors and you’ll amp up the beauty and plant diversity of your community. Borders filled with perennials, annuals, and shrubs; butterfly and wildlife plants; even edibles. Talk about curb appeal!

Speakers will include Ivette Soler, garden designer and author of the popular book The Edible Front Yard; John Greenlee, internationally recognized expert on ornamental grasses and lawn alternatives; and Vera Gates, principal with San-Francisco-based Arterra Landscape Architects, champions of stylish and sustainable garden design.

A Ruth Bancroft Horticultural Seminar, presented by the Garden Conservancy and the Ruth Bancroft Garden.

More information will be posted as available.
